About Us

The Foundation for Arab Women and Children Education was established in 2016 as a U.S.-based 501(c) (3) charitable organization. Though modest in size, the Foundation is driven by a strong commitment to creativity, innovation, and impact. Our work focuses primarily on advancing educational opportunities for Arab women and children through targeted support and strategic partnerships.

Each year, the Foundation provides small grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to support initiatives that promote access to education, capacity building, and community engagement. These grants are designed to catalyze meaningful change by empowering local actors and supporting grassroots efforts.

We believe that the transformation of Arab societies is deeply connected to the empowerment of women and children through education. By investing in education, we aim to help build a future where individuals are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to create more inclusive, just, and resilient communities.

Vision

The Foundation for Arab Women and Children Education envisions a future in which Arab women and children have equal access to quality education and the opportunity to realize their full potential. We believe that education is not only a fundamental human right but also a powerful catalyst for social transformation, economic empowerment, and sustainable peace. Our vision is rooted in the conviction that when women and children are equipped with knowledge, skills, and confidence, they become agents of positive change within their families, communities, and societies at large.

We aspire to contribute to a world where structural barriers—such as poverty, gender inequality, and limited access to educational resources—no longer prevent Arab women and children from pursuing their aspirations. By supporting inclusive and equitable educational opportunities, we aim to nurture a generation that is empowered, resilient, and capable of shaping a more just and prosperous future for the Arab world.

Mission

Our mission is to support Arab women and children in building their capacities to access and succeed in educational opportunities both within their societies and beyond. We are committed to addressing the social, economic, and structural challenges that limit access to education by mobilizing financial resources, fostering supportive networks, and creating pathways for learning and development.

The Foundation works to connect individuals, institutions, and communities that share a commitment to advancing education. Through grants, partnerships, and engagement with social and professional networks, we strive to provide meaningful support that enables learners to overcome obstacles and pursue their educational goals. Our mission is not only to provide access, but also to promote quality, relevance, and sustainability in education, ensuring that beneficiaries are equipped with the tools they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Values

The Foundation is guided by a core set of values that shape our work and define our commitment to empowering Arab women and children through education.

  • Equality: We believe that every individual deserves equal access to educational opportunities, regardless of gender, socioeconomic background, or geographic location. We work to reduce disparities and promote inclusive educational environments.
  • Dignity: We affirm the inherent worth and dignity of every person. Our programs are designed to respect and uplift individuals, fostering confidence, self-respect, and a sense of belonging.
  • Justice: We are committed to advancing social justice by addressing systemic inequalities that hinder access to education. We advocate for fair and equitable systems that support the rights and aspirations of women and children.

These values are at the heart of our initiatives and partnerships, guiding our efforts to create meaningful and lasting impact.

Objectives

The Foundation pursues a set of strategic objectives to expand access to education and strengthen support systems for Arab women and children.

  1. Provide Financial Assistance:
We offer targeted grants to support educational opportunities for Arab women and children, helping to remove financial barriers and enable access to learning. These grants support a range of initiatives, including tuition, educational programs, and community-based learning projects.
  1. Facilitate Support Networks and Spaces:
We work to convene individuals, organizations, and stakeholders who are committed to advancing education. By creating platforms for collaboration and dialogue, we strengthen the ecosystem of support surrounding Arab women and children.
  1. Encourage Community-Based Solutions:
We promote innovative and locally driven approaches to education. By supporting creative solutions that emerge from within communities, we ensure that educational initiatives are contextually relevant, sustainable, and impactful.

Through these objectives, the Foundation seeks to build a strong and inclusive educational environment that empowers individuals and communities alike.
